[Mep-dev] Hacking GNU Radio

Hi Dave!

I'm looking forward to it. I last attended during mid-single-digits of Defcon, so I'm quite curious as to how it's changed and evolved.

Myself, Ken Easton, and Keith Wheeler are planning to attend, with another one or two interested but probably not able to attend.

We'll be talking about MEP over the weekend and I anticipate some amount of progress in terms of the baseband and getting some guidance on the current state of the economy of small board houses and manufacturing and whether or not there are any opportunities there we can take advantage of.

The three of us are making some preparations for participating in the badge hacking contest.

Hi Michelle,

Looks like a fun conference. I have been meaning to attend for a few years now.

Just curious who is going (feel free to reply off-list)... Is a MEP
face-to-face planned?

Dave

I will also present some of attacks that have been created using the GnuRadio, as well as my own research from a successful hack of a proprietary Multiple Address System (MAS) SCADA network, and a quick demo of the GnuRadio in action.

Currently a computer security consultant, he enjoys working for NetSPI's clients to help them reduce their risks. In his spare time he and his wife run the local DefCon Group (DC612), and help to run the network at DefCon. He also likes to brew beer, and bike the many miles of pathways in Minnesota.
