The "Atom Smash" - the three Intel Atom 330 boards I ordered for MEP - have arrived.

I ordered three Beagleboards - the "Dog Pack" - as well, and the order filled yesterday at Digikey.

This gives us two recommended hardware paths to get baseband signals collected and processed for microwave transmission.

A software repository will be up on the software page in the very near future, and I am looking for collaborators who want to help write the software for MEP. This includes write, find, advise, comment, critique, debug, integrate, test, and document and more.

Both of these boards are totally new to me. The last time I wrote software using TI processors was over 10 years ago. The last time I completed a project for an Intel processor, it was an 8051! So, if you're thinking that you don't know enough to work on MEP software, well, think again.

I know some on the mep-dev list are interested in writing software for the project, may have already started, or already have some that can be modified for MEP. I'd like to grow this number. Let me know what you'd like to do and what you need to do it and I'll do what I can to help.

Up and atom!-Michelle
