My understanding is that Android is a semi-custom user space, as opposed
to the standard Linux/Unix user space we/I am used to.
I'd rather work in the standard user space unless I find that there are
compelling reasons to use Android.
I'm told people are interested in Android because they see it as a
vehicle to sell chips, which makes it important, but not important to
SDR efforts :)
